CNC Routing

Our advanced Multicam Apex 3R (3 Axis) CNC routers allow us to provide an extensive range of precision CNC routing services. To summarise, a CNC (computer numerical control) router uses automated computer programming to control and guide a high-speed cutter, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, while simultaneously reducing waste.

More specifically, CNC routers allow us to cut a shape following a CAD (computer-aided design) drawing. CAD software applies a toolpath to a CAD drawing, which instructs the router how to cut the material. The cutting tool navigates the cutting bed around the three axes – X (vertical), Y (horizontal) and Z (depth) – following the toolpath with great precision. This means that CNC routing can manipulate plastics to a very high specification, cutting multiple shapes, sizes and thicknesses.

Renowned for their accuracy, our Multicam Apex 3R (3 Axis) CNC routers are able to run continuously with reassuring reliability. Parts are produced at extremely low tolerances, with exceptionally high repeatability. They can machine sheet sizes up to 3m x 2m, with a thickness of up to 100mm.

We strive to make our CNC routing services as flexible and as versatile as possible. Our customers can supply their own CAD drawing – the file types we accept are .DWG and .DXF. Alternatively, our experienced CAD technicians can create a CAD drawing from any basic design supplied. Importantly, our multiple machine set-up allows us to offer long runs, short runs, one-off parts and prototypes.
